On December 8, 2012, the Leadership Tampa Bay Class of 2012 combined its philanthropic efforts for their inaugural event, the Tampa River Lights Festival. The event packed Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, offering a night of fun for all attendees. The festivities raised significant funds for a wonderful charity serving our local community. February 1, 2014 the Tampa River Lights Festival will again light up Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park. Proceeds and donations this year will go to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay, a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) corporation, that provides comfort, care and support to children and their families through the operation of core programs like the Ronald McDonald House, the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, RMHC College Scholarships, and grants to other non-profit organizations that assist children.
This year’s festival will feature games and activities for the kids, and live bands, food trucks, drinks, and local entertainment for the kids at heart. Neon lights will bring the park to life! Entrance is absolutely free, but donations are encouraged. Show your support for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay and help us illuminate the park in the name of this great cause!
